SMKDUCF Birthday Bash [Party] 25 Jan 08

On the 25th of January 2008,

DUCF celebrated the babies of November, December and January!

We had a BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

[whooohoooo!! Come on lar, how many BirthdayParties to we get to attend in CF?]

Third Leg of the Month of Partying - January, it was
Held in Hannah's house, it was and we had a great time

This week we had a guest visit from Wai Wai, Jason, Steven and Isaac!! Wai Wai was the president three years ago =) Jason was the treasurer three years ago. Steven was the president last year. Isaac is Steven's cousin =)

For starters, David led us to a ice breaker called "Chop Chilli Chop" and "Yes and No"

In "Chop Chilli Chop", one/two coins had to be passed around while the person in the centre guesses where the coin is. The one who's caught goes into the centre

In "Yes and No", those who say Yes/No will have to wear the christmas wreath for the day =)

The sketch can be summarized into two main points
1) Christmas is truly about the birth of Jesus Christ and not santa claus, whom is fictionalized.

2) Christmas is not all about receiving, but rather more on giving. The more we give, the more we receive.

I completely forgot to blog about the miracle that happened on that very day!!
Here's the thing..

At 12.30, when the bell rang, heaven decided to burst it's floodgates..
Yes, it was raining cats and dogs, i think i actually heard barks and meows, but anyway... xD

So then the committee decided to get together and pray hardcore. As in seriously hardcore... Praise The Lord!! by 1250, the rain had somewhat COMPLETELY SUBSIDED!! and by the time CF started, not even a cat or dawg was in sight =)

I actually thought that nobody would come [a lot of ppl actually told me at 1230 that they would go next friday and skip this one cause of the rain (when it was still raining)]

To see the heavy downpour stop so fast is already one miracle
and to see about 30+ ppl from 0 ppl is another miracle =)
