DUCF 2012 Camp "Trailer"

Hey guys! :) I know it's been awhile :/ so sorry about that! BUT! I'm here to announce something really really SUPER DEE DUPER IMPORTANT MESSAGE. (even though it's kinda late!)

As you know DUCF holds a camp every year and this year it's gonna be at the 4th - 6th of June! (mon - wed. 2nd week of holidays) Itt will be in El Sanctuary, Melacca. ( if you don't know where that is, go google it! the food there is awesome btw :)) And our camp speaker(s) this year are really really specialy people. They are the Scripture Union staff! :) We wouldn't reveal their names just yet so please do come for camp to find out! :)

Camp forms are already out and if you haven't gotten one yet, please come see me or Lu-Zhong (our camp commander) at 4 kempas (yes we're in the same class!) for one. Don't be scared kay, we don't bite! The latest day to pass up the forms is the 23rd of May (we extended the deadline)

The theme of this year's camp is God's Direction. (as you can see on the camp form) but what we mainly want to direct at this year's camp is choosing the right directions in life. when we face a crossroad in life, where will we look to? COME TO CAMP AND FIND OUT! More updates will be emailed to you a week before camp so please check your emails :)

As you know, every camp has something special like MK night rightttt?? WELL. SO DOES CF! Our special night theme this year is PAJAMA PARTY! wooottttsssss. So please come prepared with an outfit for that night as best dressed will receive an award :)

So that's a little 'trailer' for DUCF 2012's camp. So please do come! and bring your friends along! As long as you're between the age limit of 13-17 you're welcomed to attend :)

hey guys! sorry for not updating the blog! how are you guys?? It's Easter tomorrow and let's not just enjoy the celebration but also remember what Jesus had to go through so that we can celebrate Easter :)

Okay! so you guys know that there's a BK Postal Quiz on the 17th of April. Which is a Tuesday fyi. The venue and time has not been confirmed yet, but when it's confirmed I'll let you guys know :) Don't forget to study hard! and for those who feel like they need extra help NOT TO FEAR! We have a Bible Study Group on Fridays after school at 1230 - 1330 in the library. ALL ARE WELCOME!

KL/PJ SCF Leadership Convention 2012

Hello hello!

If you've been keeping updated to the blog, you'll probably already know 18 of us went for the KL/PJ SCF Leader's Convention TODAY! woooooooooooooooooooooooo! As you can guess it was awesome and those who didn't go it's all right! There's always next year (not for the form5's hahahahaha)

You're probably wondering 'aiyahhhh must be boring lah! I'm sure only got sermons and pastors talking in front.' well you're wrong! It was full of activities the moment we arrived at MBS. Which was about 7am-ish. There was a very good talk by Pastor Andy who talked about Daniel, who was not afraid to stand up for God. No matter how hard the situation was, he only wanted to please his heavenly king, not the earthly one. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read Daniel chapter 6 today ;)

Then we had a break, which we used it wisely to get to know some of the other 200 people at the convention :) We all made new friends that's for sure. See? You don't just gain knowledge by attending this convention, you make new friends too!

Hello! :D okay confirmation on MBS this saturday! So we'll meet up at Taman Bahagia Station, Kelana Jaya at 6am. And you're allowed to wear school uniform or PJ clothes or a white shirt. Or as I've said earlier you can buy their shirt there :D so that's all! and for those who haven't paid please pay RM10 asap or you'll have to pay the walk in price which is RM12 :) see you then!

Btw, for those of you who have signed up for the MBS, remember to be at the Kelana Jaya station at 6am (if the time changes we'll let you know) we'll be taking the LRT there. Bring some money if you want to buy the t-shirt :) (I would!) and also for lunch. oh! and remember to WEAR YOUR SCHOOL UNIFORM. If you don't wanna wear it you'll have to buy their t-shirt when you get there :)

hey guys! just to let you all know, there is no cf next tuesday which is the 14th. it is actually sports. SO PLEASE DO NOT COME.

hello guys! today we had our second meeting of CF. and if you weren't here, you missed out cause we announced our cg groups. well if you don't know what cg means, its called cell group and you do most group activities among your cell group. and if you haven't been to cf, but you want to, we'll assign you to a cg so don't worry alright (:

so anyhoo, our next meeting will be on the 14th of february. yes, thats valentines' day :P be sure to come and bring along a bunch of your friends! we're gona have a surprise for you guys, so be sure you don't miss it okay?

1st CF meeting of the year! :D

Today was the 1st CF meeting of the year! :D YAYAYAYAYAY! We had an awesome attendance of 44 people! Give yourselves a big hand for attending CF today :)

So, CF started off with an awesome ice-breaker to you know BREAK the ICE HAHAHAHA (lame I know) The game was called IDENTITY SWITCH. It went like this: 1st you introduce your name, your age, your class and your favorite color to a random person. Then the random person tells you his/her details. After that your identities are SWITCHEEEEED. And person A becomes person B. And person B becomes person A. Then person A finds another partner and becomes person C! It goes on and on and on. Confusing right? Not really after you've played it. :)

After that was worship. We sang 5 songs:

2) This is how we overcome
3) Mighty to save
4) With all I am
5) My redeemer lives
It was so good to see so many people praising the Lord together right? If any of you want to serve in the worship team, feel free to contact any of the commitee members. Whether it's singing or playing instruments, as long as you have the heart to serve God, you're welcomed to join :)

Moving on to the main event. We played the 'shift shift' game. The game we played had a moral value to it, which was when your name was called and you were suppose to move to another chair, you had a friend at the back of you to tap you to keep you on the chair. Some of us managed to slip away and some didn't. But if our friend was God, he would NEVER let us slip away. He will always be there giving you a tap on your shoulder :) ISN'T THAT AMAZING?

Hoped you guys enjoyed CF today and if you can invite your friends to CF as CF is one BIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGG family and no one gets left out in CF. All glory to God for making today's CF a success! See you guys on the 31st of Jan for our 2nd CF meeting! :DD

so HAPPY NEW YEAR. hope you all had a great year last year cause this year will be so much better, im sure of it! for those form3's that didn't do as expected in pmr, and didn't get what stream they wanted, don't give up in life. don't be to harsh on yourself. don't cry & don't stop talking to God. God is always there to listen no matter the time, so just say all your problems plus there's always a way!

and of course, God has a special plan for us in life and i think my future is going to be awesome, don't you? anyhoo to everyone else, hope you guys are doing great and don't fear to stop for a moment and just talk to God alright.

Being a judge?

Hi guys :D guess who?

 

Sorry for not updating in a really really REALLY long time :/ but I just know you guys CAN'T WAIT to read this coming post :D

 

As you can see rightttttttt UP there is the title of this post ' Being A JUDGE?' and yes the question I'm asking YOU today is 'Are YOU being a judge?' 'Do YOU judge others?'

 

If you're being honest to yourself, you'll find out that you actually ARE a judge. Why? you ask. Because the fact is EVERYONE JUDGES ONE ANOTHER! Even if you don't realise it. Sometimes you'll go like 'ohhhhh that guy's so hot!' OR 'ughhhhhh why's that girl so ugly?' Well in John 7:24 it says: Do not judge by appearances, but judge with the right judgment.

 

So think about my question. 'Are you a judge?'

hey guys! :D just wanted to share something that I encountered this week. NO KIDDING! it's a true story. and it does bring a wonderful meaning so I hope that you guys will take some time to enjoy this story about a lady and her driver.

so! it goes like this:

a lady was talking to her driver really really loudly. it sounded like they were having an argument about something (btw I was NOT eavesdropping! they were talking REALLY LOUDLY) and the guy was saying something about the lady not respecting him and always changing the schedule of somethingg. Then his master said 'you're here to serve me, why can't you just follow my way instead?' then the guy said 'my way is better'

THAT really struck me. It made me think of US, as children of God, we sometimes act like that driver. We want to do things our own way without listen to His instructions. Then what? Things get messy. We lose our direction. We get lost. We get frustrated.

ALSO. It's like we get upset whenever things don't go our way. we rebel or get upset with God. sometimes we even blame him. but you know, God is patient, God is kind, God is understanding. No matter what if we repent, He'll always forgive us. Like the lady, she forgave her driver and everything in the end, and they talked it out. :) which worked out fine!

So facing any problems today? Tell them all to God :) He's just the friend you need right now
